Living Xenopus Glial Cell

Living Xenopus glial cell (XR1) imaged with the BioScope AFM. The cells were plated on a glass coverslip with a synthetic extracellular matrix (ECL: entactin, collagen, laminin). The BioScope's ability to perform coaxial optical and atomic force microscopy allows rapid localization of areas of interest and integration of optical and AFM data sets, providing a novel perspective on questions in molecular cell biology. 75µm scan courtesy S.
